Green Mountain Soapstone:
Soapstone is made up of mineral deposits created by nature and quarried from the earth. The main mineral components in soapstone include talc, chlorite, dolomite and magnesite, giving a warm, soft feeling to the touch. Soapstone has a unique soft color with light flowing veins. When cut, it oxidizes from light grey to dark charcoal in color. A protective coat of mineral oil makes its color even more dramatic.

Marbre:
Marble is a gologically defined as a metamorphic rock predominately consisting of fine-to coarse-granied, recrystallized calcite and /or dolomite. Limestone/ Travertine: Limestone is a sedimentary stone with at least 50% by wight calcite or calcium carbonate content. Most limestone is marine in origin, compoose of micro-sized fossils of marine like the shells found on most beachs

Slate:
Slate is a low-grade metamorphic rock formed from shale which is a thin-bedded, fine-granied, clastic sedimentary rock compated from mud of clay-sized silicate clay minerals.
