Leather finish
1- What is Silestone Leather texture?
Silestone Leather texture is a new textured matte finish that was introduced internationally by Cosentino to meet the growing demand for matte finishes.

2- Is Silestone Leather texture different from the polished Silestone we’re familiar with?
In terms of resistance and durability, Silestone Leather texture retains the same characteristics as polished Silestone. It is just as scratch resistant and non-porous, with the same greater resistance to shattering than natural stone and limited resistance to heat.

The product is identical, with the same qualities and ease of cleaning but with a textured matte finish.

3- What is the color range of Silestone Leather texture?

There are 20 colors available, 7 of which are in the new River Series; the 13 other colors have been chosen from the current range of Silestone colors.

Granite Design has these 20 colors in stock, all available now.

4- Does the Silestone warranty apply to the new Silestone Leather texture?

The standard 10-year warranty is offered on Silestone Leather texture, covering manufacturer’s defects and defects relating to the product’s porosity. Granite Design provides an installation warranty.

For more information, consult the terms and conditions of your Silestone warranty.

5- Does the Silestone Leather texture countertop come with Microban anti-bacterial protection?
Yes. Our entire inventory of Silestone Leather texture has been manufactured with Microban anti-bacterial protection.

6- What styles of counter edges are available with Silestone Leather texture?
The following counter edges are available with Silestone Leather texture: Eased Edge, Bevel Edge, Pencil Edge, Half Bullnose, Full Bullnose, Big Ogee and Silhouette.

7- Will Silestone Leather texture be offered at the same price as polished Silestone?
Due to the increased cost of the raw material, Silestone Leather texture is approximately ten percent (10%) more expensive than the regular finish. IMPORTANT NOTE: This increase applies only to the material and not to the cost of the making of the template or the installation. Hence, the total price of a counter estimated at $4,000 (approximately 40 square feet) could differ by about $240.00.

8- Are there special specifications to consider in regard to the manufacture of a Silestone Leather texture counter?
The only limitation regarding the production of a Silestone Leather texture counter concerns the interior corners: they must have a radius of 3” in order to ensure a properly polished border.
