FOREMAN

2 positions are available (1 day shift / 1 evening shift). Vous will contribute to GRANITDESIGN’s success by :

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organizing work orders required by the Production Director for the day and guide team members in achieving production performance objectives
  • Assign employees to specifc tasks and projects to produce
  • Manage material resources using optimization in collaboration with team leaders of different zones
  • Perform production flow follow-ups throughout the day and bring corrective measures if needed
  • Perform quality checks on produced products and raise any non-compliances
  • Relate the production report to the Production Director during the course of the day
  • Identify and propose overtime schedules to the Production Director
  • Ensure that all Health & Safety regulations are respected
  • Participate in employee integration and evaluation
  • Ensure that team members possess all required qualifications and work tools
  • Ensure compliance of company policies and regulations and enforce disciplinary measures alongside the Production Director
  • Approve punch cards of team members
  • Any other related tasks

SEEKING SOMEONE WITH:

  • 10 years of experience in a similar role (team management)
  • Experience in a fabrication facility environnement (an asset)
  • English level 4.5/5
  • Able to mobilize a team

2 AVAILABLE POSITIONS (1 DAY & 1 EVENING) / PERMANENT, FULL TIME POSITIONS

LOGISTIC SUPPORT AGENT

Our MARITIME’s office is looking for  a Logistic Support Agent. Under the supervision of the Technical Operations Supervisor, you will contribute to GRANITDESIGN’s success by :

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide callers/visitors with a welcoming experience
  • Assist the Supervisor in maximizing the installation and template schedule
  • Generate reports of template installation schedules
  • Balance the workload between the tecnicians to ensure that projects are feasible on schedule
  • Manage the inventory of sinks and operating supplies
  • Maintain and report adequate inventory levels of tools and supplies
  • Monitor min-max
  • Prepare purchase orders for truck maintenance
  • Make the project-related researches
  • Ship and receive packages
  • Ensure updating of the IT system
  • Unload racks from the truck with a forklift
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor

SEEKING SOMEONE WITH:

PERMANENT POSITION / 40 HOURS PER WEEK / GROUP INSURANCE AND PENSION PLAN

TEMPLATER – MONCTON/SUSSEX AREA, NB

Under the direct supervision of the Technical Operations Supervisor, the Templater is responsible for the following:

  • Be punctual at job site;
  • Make a good impression on customer by wearing your uniform and having your badge;
  • Ensure you have all necessary supplies required to complete the project;
  • Care and maintenance of vehicle;
  • Perform the task of measuring the project with tools provided, complete on site;
  • Provide effective communication with internal staff and external customer;
  • Ensure all documentation required is completed.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Laser template the walls and cabinets according to company policy;
  • Analyze site, quote, drawing and appliances;
  • Perform complete drawing from job site;
  • Communicate measurements through the drawing to the designated person at the fabrication plant;
  • Provide installation analytic to installation team, access, steps to follow;
  • Inform your Supervisor of tools and supplies required:
  • Provide valued engineering to customer;
  • Explain in detail to the customer the various steps of the project.

SEEKING SOMEONE WITH:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, tile setting or cabinet making
  • A valid driver’s license
  • No criminal record
  • Computer skills (Excel, AutoCAD, Outlook)
  • The possibility of sleeping out of town

PERMANENT POSITION / GROUP INSURANCE & PENSION PLAN / MEAL REIMBURSEMENT / COMPANY VEHICLE PROVIDED

TRUCK DRIVER

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Drive a sleeper truck with a 48′ curtain trailer
  • Participate in the loading and unloading
  • Typical schedule:
    • Boston / To and From in 2 days (once a week)
    • Maritimes (Dartmouth) / To and From in 3 days (1 time every 2 weeks)
    • Montreal / To and From in a day (once every 2 weeks)

SEEKING SOMEONE WHO :

  • Has a valid Class 1 driver’s license
  • Has 25 years of age and a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Has a valid passport or FAST Pass
  • Has no criminal record and a compliant SAAQ file
  • Is responsible, resourceful and independant
  • Is able to function in English

PERMANENT POSITION / PAY PER HOUR / AVG. 80H PER 2 WEEKS / ONLY 4 NIGHTS IN SLEEPER PER 2 WEEKS / REGULAR RUNS AND SCHEDULES, FEW TRANSIT POINTS / RECENT WELL MAINTAINED TRUCK (Coronado Freightliner) / COLLECTIVE INSURANCE AND PENSION PLAN / CLEAN AND SAFE WORKING ENVIRONNEMENT

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Under the Client-Service Director, you contribute to GRANITDESIGN’s success by :

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Develop a partnership between the distributor and Granit Design
  • Inform/ accompany/ advise the distributor through different projects, products and challenges
  • Communicate efficiently the project requirements to internal team members
  • Play a proactive role in problem resolution and propose solutions
  • Identify business opportunities with assigned accounts an ensure the account’s growth
  • Ensure project coordination with end-customer until completion
  • Work in tight collaboration with sales representatives to provide designer training opportunities

MAIN FUNCTIONS :

  • Attend monthly meeting with sales representatives to perform distributor follow-ups on goals and opportunities
  • Validate, suggest and advise the distributor in the quoting process, either on monetary (value-added) or technical (fabrication – feasibility) aspects
  • Provide additional information about products, programms, special offers
  • Guide the distributor and his customer in the process of colour change in the event a selection is sold-out/discontinued
  • Integrate the order into the ERP system (search for missing information with distributors, bring the distributor to work with our ordering system in place, send order confirmations and ensure that signed agreements are received from distributors, contact the end-customer to schedule templating appointments)
  • Send weekly reports and perform scheduling updates
  • Perform templating appointment calls
  • Manage service calls for a completed project
  • Coordinate different showroom projects with sales reprsentative
  • Bring assistance to colleagues assistance for any other task related to the customer service department

PERMANENT POSITION / 35H – 40H PER WEEK / DAY SHIFT / MONDAY TO FRIDAY

PROJECT AGENT

You will contribute to GRANITDESIGN’s success under the supervision of the Client Service Director. You will offer support to the project evaluation, design and production teams, to manage projects following templating up until project approval, to ensure the smooth transfer of information internally and be able to communicate clearly with distributors and interal teams.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proceed to project treatment after templating
  • Do follow-ups with distributors about missing items/revisions/purchase orders
  • Request information changes in the ERP system to the production team / Purchasing (sq. footage changes, edge profiles, stone colour, addition of options, sinks or any other accessory)
  • Adjust all pertinent information in the ERP system for installations
  • Complete project document intergration
  • Perform project drafting/preparation of shop plans and obtain approval by distributor
  • Perform Installation appointment confirmation calls
  • Prepare the installation and warranty documents
  • Take service calls related to installation documents
  • Assist colleagues for any other task related to the customer service department

SEEKING SOMEONE WITH:

  • A positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • An autonomous and resourceful personnality
  • Experience in the customer service industry (essential)
  • Bilinguism (French and English 5/5 – essential)

PERMANENT (35H – 40H PER WEEK) / DAY SHIFT / MONDAY TO FRIDAY

POLISHER

We are seeking to add onto our production team to polish by hand stone surfaces.

SEEKING SOMEONE WITH:

  • Experience in polishing (stone, wood, or car aesthetic)
  • Great care for detail and quality

PERMANENT (40h) / EVENING SHIFT (5pm to 3h30am)

CNC MACHINE OPERATOR

We are seeking to add onto our CNC team to operate it using presetted programs, to cut pieces while ensuring a good machining quality

  • Experience in operating a CNC machine and/or pertinent training (asset)

We are seeking to add members to our production team to operate machinery in the finishing department, manipulate materials exiting the machines.
