Under the supervision of the OHS & Maintenance Director, the chosen candidate will need to contribute to the development and optimization of a quality control system through the following responsibilities:

  • Put in place a quality control management system (OSI) and see to its good functioning ;
  • Coach field managers in terms of quality control process ;
  • Create and implement politics in terms of production, transportation and installations ;
  • Participate in identifying key performance indicators (KPI) and of the actions that need to be put in place to achieve them ;
  • Analyze and ensure follow-through of corrective actions ;
  • Give different training and awareness campaigns ;
  • Ensure equipment optimization and follow technological advancements ;
  • Implement standardized best practices in terms of quality control ;
  • Make recommendations and implement solutions for improvement ;
  • Ensure that finished products meet expectations of different customers ;
  • Audit employee work methods according to rules & standards in place ;
  • Any other related task in regards to internal quality control management.

We are seeking someone who has the following qualifications & abilities:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering or a combination of pertinent training & experience  ;
  • Have 2 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role ;
  • Have a good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methods, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, etc. ;
  • Be a good team player and have excellent communication skills ;
  • Demonstrate professional rigour and autonomy ;
  • Be a Leader with excellent organizational skills ;
  • Master French and English (bilingual) ;
  • Have excellent computer skills.

Account Manager

Sous la responsabilité du Directeur du service client, vous contribuez au succès de GRANITDESIGN par les façons suivantes :


  • Develop a strong relationship between Granit Design and partners;
  • Inform/ accompany/ guide partners through different projects, products and challenges;
  • Communicate efficiently the different requirements of a project to internal team members;
  • Play a proactive role in finding solutions to siguations and offer alternatives that are suited to the situation;
  • Identify business opportunities to participate in the partner-account’s growth;
  • Ensure project coordination with our partner’s customers until completion;
  • Work in tight collaboration with sales representatives to propose training opportunities to our partner designers.


  • Have a monthly meeting with sales representatives to do a follow-up on distribution partners – goals – opportunities;
  • Validate, suggest and guide partners through the quoting process, whether it be financial (added value options) or technical (fabrication, possibilities and limitations);
  • Provide additional information regarding products and programs;
  • Accompany the partner and his customer during the process of colour changes due to sourcing issues;
  • Enter the order in the ERP system (seek missing information with the partners, bring the partners to use our tools, send order confirmations and ensure that confirmation signatures are received);
  • Send updated weekly reports to partners;
  • Contact our partner’s customers to schedule templating;
  • Manage service calls when required on completed projects;
  • Coordinate with sales representatives the different showroom projects;
  • Offer support to colleagues for any customer service related task.

Industrial Mecanic

To support our growth, we are currently seeking for a gifted Industrial Mechanic who wishes to join a dynamic team!


  • Ensure optimal efficiency of production equipment and machining tools by performing preventive and corrective maintenances
  • Intervene on machine stops, diagnose breakdowns and resolve problems
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Actively participate in OH&S corrective actions & improvements
  • Use the automated maintenance management system (IT Guide)
  • Perform any additional duties


  • Education in electromechanical automated systems or industrial mechanics or a combination of trainings and equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Experience with machining tools (CNC machine)

Human Resource Professional (1-yr contract – maternity leave replacement)

Granit Design is currently seeking a bilingual Human Resource Professional for a 1 year contract (maternity leave replacement). Under the direct supervision of the company’s Vice-President, the job description has a generalist nature, which implies that you will be responsible of managing all of the company’s HR-related matters for over 200 employees, as well as all matters related to endowments. The organization includes a head-office in Stanstead, Qc., a distribution centre in the Maritimes as well as a sister company in the United States, it will therefore be essential that you communicate fluently in English, in order to discuss with employees and conduct interviews.

Main responsibilities :

  • Analyze performance and offer solutions to maintain and develop the HR aspects (various subjects);
  • Participate in developing hiring strategies (company notoriety, image, marketing);
  • Guide management as well as employees in HR related matters and act as agent with them during periods of change;
  • Actively participate in the elaboration or revision of various HR programs and policies and promote them, through training geared towards management and employees;
  • Ensure that information is communicated clearly and professionally;
  • Enforce information mechanisms and controls in order to ensure their conformity;
  • Perform employee hiring, internally and externally, for management and support staff : job postings, filtering of applications, potential applicant selecting, reference collecting, etc.;

Installation Technician (Halifax, NS)

  • Share the driving time
  • Any other task related or requested by the Team Leader/Supervisor


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, tile setting or cabinet making
  • Experience polishing stone would be a plus
  • Must be available to sleep out of town a couple of nights per week
  • Be in good physical shape
  • Pass a background check
  • Have a valid driver’s license



Under the direct supervision of the Technical Operations Supervisor, the Templater is responsible for the following:

  • Be punctual at job site;
  • Make a good impression on customer by wearing your uniform and having your badge;
  • Ensure you have all necessary supplies required to complete the project;
  • Care and maintenance of vehicle;
  • Perform the task of measuring the project with tools provided, complete on site;
  • Provide effective communication with internal staff and external customer;
  • Ensure all documentation required is completed.


  • Laser template the walls and cabinets according to company policy;
  • Analyze site, quote, drawing and appliances;
  • Perform complete drawing from job site;
  • Communicate measurements through the drawing to the designated person at the fabrication plant;
  • Provide installation analytic to installation team, access, steps to follow;
  • Inform your Supervisor of tools and supplies required:
  • Provide valued engineering to customer;
  • Explain in detail to the customer the various steps of the project.


  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, tile setting or cabinet making
  • A valid driver’s license
  • No criminal record
  • Computer skills (Excel, AutoCAD, Outlook)
  • The possibility of sleeping out of town
